Cauchon won’t make it four

Former justice minister Martin Cauchon has reportedly decided not to enter the Liberal leadership race.

His decision leaves the race without a  potential challenger from Quebec—a highly unusual situation for the Liberal Party.

With former Ontario NDP premier Bob Rae expected to officially confirm today that he will run, the slate of contenders remains a three-way contest featuring MPs Michael Ignatieff and Bob Rae from Toronto and Dominic LeBlanc from New Brunswick.smleaf
