Liberals: the party of big business

For decades the Liberals and the NDP have tried to paint Conservatives as being the party of big business. The current financial pickle the Liberals find themselves in currently, however, makes a lie of their claim.

The Conservative Party has depended far more on individual contributions to fund their political activities and so are thriving under the new rules. The Liberal Party, on the other hand, has been so reliant on corporate contributions and so little on those from individuals that they are struggling to make ends meet under those same rules. This clearly shows that it was the Liberals who all these years have been the party of big business.

It's an example of the big lie: repeat it over and over and some will believe it.

  1. It seems that lower taxes is not that important to businesses. That is the logical conclusion. What do businesses get from the libs and ndp that they don't get from the Conservatives I wonder.
