NDP MP asleep on the job?

T he following video shows New Democratic MP for Manicouagan (Québec) Jonathan Genest-Jourdain checking out his hair and apparently falling asleep during a House of Commons session. This young man became—along with Roméo Saganash—the first aboriginal MP elected in Quebec and is the official opposition’s Deputy Critic for Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development.

His riding and the aboriginal community must be very proud; too bad he can’t stay awake long enough to notice.

This is what $160,000 plus in salary and benefits buys these days.
