Who said these words?

Who said these fateful words?

quote-left-red-beige-bgYou can’t have your cake and eat it, too. You can’t defeat the government and not expect to have to go to the people.quote-right-red-beige-bg

Mauril Bélanger, a past Liberal deputy house leader, that’s who.

He also said that it would be unconscionable and perhaps even unconstitutional for the opposition parties to seek to change government without first going back to voters.

  1. Hi Russ ...first time here and am willing to comment ...Yes many many politicians have said much in the past in a context that would have worked to their benefit ...and why wouldn't they ? .... To consider the present situation that is going on parliament hill I suppose that Harper and His gang are willing to do the same ...The best advice I have ever received was to never believe a politician ...
Sad indeed that that is what it has come to but the rhetoric that has been spewen forth from question period is astonishing ...Harper sounds like someone from the 911 conspiratory theorist ... I didn't hear one answer to any question, only rhetoric ...Katou

    Cheers
