Irreconcilable culture clash

TheStar.com is carrying an article that is a must-read for all who worry about the culture clash we are experiencing in Canada.

The idea that somehow those who believe in strict adherence to Sharia—Islamic law—and no compromise with the West can ever become an integrated part of the shared Canadian experience would seem to be a pipedream.

You can read the article here.

  1. Excellent article in Toronto Life about the honour killing of Toronto teen Aqsa Parvez.

  2. One mosque does not all of Islam make. There are extremists in all religions and those need to be denounced for what they are and not used to smear a whole religion.

    BTW, see here.

  3. Gene,

RE:“One mosque does not all of Islam make.”

Well, if that "one mosque" teaches the fundamental beliefs of its religion, we can rightfully and fairly draw conclusions about the whole religion. What does this mosque teach that is not taught and widely accepted across the whole religion?
